I know I am not the only one that needs an afternoon pick me up sometimes. (Heck a morning, afternoon, after supper, or a before bedtime pick me up, I am not biased.) These are a tasty and easy recipe to whip up a tasty treat for whatever occasion you might have.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Salted Butter
3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
2 Tablespoons Milk
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 Egg
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
12 ounces Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 325*.
2) Combine the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix this until creamy.
3) Add milk, vanilla, and egg. Mix well.
4) Add flour, salt, and baking soda together. Add to the wet ingredients to not make a mess but try not to over mix the dough.
5) Fold in the chocolate chips and optional walnuts.
6) Use a 2-inch cookie scoop and place 3-4 inches apart.
7) Bake for 12 minutes. These cookies will not look done but they will be. You want them to just lose their shine on top. Make sure to adjust baking time to what works for your oven, area, and cookie size.
8) Feel free to let them cool on the cookie sheet and then transfer to a cooling rack.
9) Grab a glass of milk and ENJOY!
