What does reserving locker meat mean?

Reserving locker meat means you are securing a particular size of beef, pork, or goat, before available dates fill up. A deposit locks in your spot.

How do I reserve locker meat?

Select your meat, size (quarter, half, or whole) and place your deposit online to reserve your locker date.

What happens after I pay my deposit?

Congratulations! You have reserved your meat. You’ll receive an invoice for the remaining balance (this price depends on the weight of the animal) prior to your locker date. Once paid, we deliver the animal to the processor.

What is a cut sheet?

A cut sheet is where you decide how your meat is processed—steaks, roasts, ground beef, sausage, chops, etc.

How do I choose a locker?

Please let us know if you have a preferred locker. Current lockers we work with: Butcher Block (Cascade), Rockdale Locker (Maquoketa), and Wholesale Meats and Processing (Dyersville).

When do I choose my cuts?

You’ll contact the locker directly to complete your cut sheet. Cut sheets can be done a couple weeks prior to your locker appointment or after the animal is delivered to the locker. You don't need experience, they will guide you!

How do I get my meat?

The locker will notify you when your order is ready for pickup. You will then pickup directly from the locker during their business hours.

Who do I pay for processing?

Processing is paid directly to the locker at pickup and is separate from your deposit and meat purchase.
